Howl-o-ween!

Halloween in NYC went to the dogs! This year, there was no shortage of pawsitively fabulous pups dressed to the nines in creative and adorable costumes.

The annual Tompkins Square Park Dog Halloween Parade, which benefits the park's dog run, was one for the books with thousands of dogs strutting their stuff before the judges to compete for a number of great prizes. Although all the costumes were incredible, it was four French bulldogs, Harley, Baby, Dakota, and Gus, posing as tourists — French of course — aboard a "Bark on Bark Off" New York Sightseeing bus that got the vote for “Best in Show.” Special thanks to Rubies Pet Shop Boutique for sponsoring this tail-wagging event.

Another pawsome Halloween event this year was Dylan's Candy BarN Tricks & Treats Dog Costume Party & Adoption Event. Two- and four-legged friends and family joined Dylan Lauren at Dylan's Candy Bar for an extra sweet Halloween costume pawty. Dylan's Candy BarN partnered with Animal Lighthouse Rescue, who had adoptable dogs that were rescued from Puerto Rico, in an effort to find them the perfect home-sweet-home.

Whether you got tricks or treats, there’s no question that the NYC pups stepped it up this year with their adorable and one-of-a-kind costumes -- some may say they outdid their humans. One things for sure -- it was a Howl-o-ween to remember!
